The Red Tree Gallery is located in Atascadero’s historic “Colony Art District,” at 5850 Traffic Way across the street and just east of the historic Carlton Hotel and Restaurant.  The Red Tree Gallery features paintings of internationally acknowledged interpretive landscape painter Ronald Ray Rogers.  Rogers is well known for his interpretative paintings of red trees previously shown at Just Looking Gallery in San Luis Obispo.

An Artist Reception was held May 30th, 2008, during the gallery’s Grand Opening which coincided with the Atascadero Art Tour.  Award-winning wines from B & E Vineyard, a North County boutique winery, was served as over 300 guests perused the diversity of original artwork and limited edition prints that hang from the gallery’s “floating” exhibit walls.

The Red Tree Gallery also features the works of fine local and national artists, exhibiting Paintings, Sculpture, Limited Edition Prints, Artist-Crafted Jewelry, Furniture, and Ceramics.  In addition, the gallery offers Art/Design Consultation, Commissions, In-home Approvals, Traditional and Lay-Away purchase options, and will ship virtually anywhere.

The Red Tree Gallery is the realized vision of Wendy Rogers, wife of renowned artist Ronald Ray Rogers. Last year Ron and Wendy chose to make Atascadero home for their family.  Wendy, who manages the marketing of Ron’s artwork, felt it was the right time to invest in their community and bring this new venue for fine art to Atascadero.  Through The Red Tree Gallery, Wendy brings not only her husband’s work, but that of other noted national artists from California, and from as far away as New York, Connecticut, the Rocky Mountains, and Texas.  “We live in a very unique and beautiful part of the world,” says Wendy Rogers. “Atascadero is an ideal setting and inspiration for Ron’s continuing series of paintings which feature captivating images of solitary trees, intimate woodland groves, farms, and orchards.”

The Red Tree Gallery provides a good reason to get off HWY 101 at Traffic Way in Atascadero by bringing fine art to the Historic Colony District.  The Rogers’ believe that The Red Tree Gallery can be a valuable partner in the town’s ongoing redevelopment effort by providing fine art to the community as well as boosting tourism.
